Community Focus
Investing in our local communities
As a firm focused on community, we believe that we are interdependent with the communities we serve. When our community thrives, we thrive. To that end, we strive to improve the areas we serve through contributions and volunteer hours. From our founder Deborah Abildsoe’s service on non-profit boards of directors to our sponsorship of local lectures, festivals, and fundraisers, we at Grey Ledge Advisors believe that corporations have a responsibility to give back to the community.
In keeping with that core tenet, Grey Ledge Advisors and our parent company GSB have been increasing our community involvement like never before, starting with our commitment to local non-profits. Dedicated members of the combined team sit on over 60 non-profit boards and committees, volunteering their time and lending their expertise to help our communities grow.
As a whole, Grey Ledge Advisors and GSB employees volunteered nearly 11,000 hours in the past year. We spent our time building new houses with Habitat for Humanity, plunging into icy cold waters with the Special Olympics of Connecticut, playing games with children at local concert series, and donating blood at American Red Cross blood drives.
We believe that to create a strong community tomorrow, it’s up to us to invest our time and dollars today. As we grow, our investment in our community will also grow. We’re working with more organizations in our community than ever before, creating meaningful partnerships and lending our skills and expertise to help them fulfill their missions.
